Kim Won-il's House with a Deep Courtyard

This is a literary experience exhibition space located in Daegu's Yakjeon Alley. It is a place that three-dimensionally reconstructs the story and characters of the novel <House with a Deep Courtyard>, set in Jung-gu, Daegu after the Korean War, and the lives of Daegu refugees. It was created by remodeling a hanok on the site of the former Namsam-dong Senior Citizens Center, and consists of an exhibition hall, information room, restroom, courtyard (corridor), alley, and outer gate. The exhibition hall includes a model of the house with a deep courtyard, character introductions, photos of 1950s Daegu scenery and daily life, Kilnam's room, an archive of donated items from author Kim Won-il, and the author's room. In the courtyard and alley, a 1950s water tap (kitchen), photo zone, and photo bulletin board are installed to allow visitors to experience the lives of refugees.
