Why travelers stop here
Located at Suam-ro 278-16 in Uiryeong-gun, Kkotpineun Sangol is a duck specialty restaurant that offers baek-suk (simmered chicken or duck) boiled in a broth made with 15 varieties of wild herbs and medicinal roots. Surrounded by mountains, this charming spot features lush trees and wildflowers blooming around the building, along with a waterwheel, allowing guests to leisurely enjoy the scenery after their meal. The restaurant uses freshly grown ingredients and purifies and sterilizes natural bedrock water from 120 meters underground. With high ceilings providing an open feel and a clean interior, guests can see the dense trees through floor-to-ceiling windows. Kkotpineun Sangol serves neat side dishes and is excellent for nourishing the body. All menu items operate on a reservation-only basis, so booking in advance is essential. Nearby, Suamsa Temple and a cloud bridge are great additions to a Uiryeong travel itinerary, making it easy to explore together.
