Why travelers stop here
Agricultural company corporation Dream Baragi Co., Ltd. is a rural experience activity group that started in 2001 with the joint investment of the CEO, who had been running a personal workshop, and 11 local women. It aims to educate children's character through hands-on experiences where urban children directly touch soil with their hands and farm with their own hands, learning the preciousness of soil and life. In addition, it creates jobs for women with career interruptions and increases farm household income by operating a store to sell local agricultural products such as bitter melon and sword beans.
The experience programs include a year-long farming program and a one-day experience program. The farming program recruits family participants every March, and involves plowing the fields, sowing seeds, cultivating crops by hand, and concludes with making kimchi in December after harvest. The one-day experience offers agriculture-based experiences, horticultural experiences, pottery during the agricultural off-season, hand painting, and tea ceremony experiences. In 2021, it was selected as a support project for the activation of social agriculture, and it is a community that works together, carrying out activities such as providing emotional stability through agricultural activities and supporting rural settlement for socially vulnerable groups including local residents affected by the Pohang earthquake trauma, people with developmental disabilities, and local seniors.
