Why travelers stop here
This beach is located in the north, adjacent to the port of Daejin Harbor, the northernmost port on the east coast, where you can enjoy fresh raw fish caught in the coastal waters. The white sand beach, 350m long and 10,578m² (about 3,200 pyeong) wide, is covered with fine white sand, and the water is clear with an average depth of about 1.3m, making it relatively shallow. In Daejin 5-ri, south of Daejin Harbor, there is also a small simple beach with a sand beach 150m long and 4,628m² (about 1,400 pyeong) wide. This area is also a military installation protection zone, so it is opened in consultation with the relevant military unit during the beach opening period. On a small hill below the beach, Daejin Lighthouse stands tall, serving as a signal light for passing ships. The two beaches in Daejin-ri are located on the route to and from Goseong Unification Observatory, so they are frequently visited by tourists.
