Why travelers stop here
Hanjae Mit Beach, located about 4km south of Samcheok city center, is a small beach with a beautiful white sand beach of about 400 meters surrounded by a pine forest. Compared to other beaches, there are many wide-spread rocks around, making it possible to fish, and it is also the starting point of the famous Maengbang Beach (Myeongsasip-ri) in Geundeok-myeon. It is a 10-minute drive from Samcheok city center, connected to Seunggong and Maengbang Beaches, and because it is still less visited, it is preserved in its natural state. The water is shallow, so people of all ages can enjoy swimming, and it is a beach that many people visit as a small-scale summer resort by car. Nearby tourist attractions include Saenyeonnyeon (New Millennium) Coastal Resort, Jukseoru Pavilion, and Hwanseongul Cave, as well as Deoksan Port, Daejin Port, Gungchon Port, Bunam, and Maengbang Beach.
