Why travelers stop here
The 24km coastline of Yangyang-gun is called Naksansan Provincial Park. Centered around Naksansa Temple and Naksan Beach, the entire coast up to Osan, Dongho, and Hajodae Beaches is included, with lakes and terraces developed throughout, offering many attractions. Naksansa Temple is counted among the eight scenic views of the Gwandong region and offers a taste of the essence of Buddhist culture. Various cultural properties are scattered within the temple grounds, and the coastal cliffs formed of oddly shaped rocks and old pine trees are a spectacular sight visited by many tourists. Naksan Beach is the largest beach in the northern East Sea region, surrounded by clean white sand, shallow water, a long stretch of sandy beach, and dense pine forests, drawing large crowds in the summer. At the entrance of Naksansan Provincial Park, there is a plaza with a raw fish center, cafes, and accommodations clustered together, making it a representative space that provides food and rest for those visiting the Yangyang sea. As a famous tourist destination that attracts many people, lodging, leisure, and convenience facilities are relatively well established, and recently, convenience facilities for tourism have been continuously developed.
