Yangguhyanggyo Confucian School

Yangguhyanggyo is said to have been founded in 1405 (the 5th year of King Taejong's reign) in Sang-ri, Yanggu-eup (currently Hyanggyo-gol), and was moved to Ha-ri in 1737 (the 13th year of King Yeongjo's reign). However, it was destroyed during the Korean War in 1950, and in 1956, Confucian scholars of the hyanggyo promoted the reconstruction of Daeseongjeon and Myeongnyundang at the current location. Afterwards, the hyanggyo fell into disrepair, and from 1993 to 1998, with support from the province and county, Inseongjeon, Dongjae and Seojae (east and west study halls), Myeongnyundang, Oesammun (outer gate), Naesammun (inner gate), and walls were repaired. Seokjeon rituals are held every spring and autumn.
