Why travelers stop here
In Nam-gu, Daegu, stands Apsan Mountain, which is 660 meters above sea level. Apsan has Seongsan Mountain (653m) and Daedeoksan Mountain (546m) on its left and right. The park created in the northern valley of these three mountain ranges is Apsan Park. It has been developed as a park since 1970, and from 1981, it was developed under a 10-year plan. It is the largest urban natural park in Daegu, covering 5.08 million pyeong. A cable car with a total length of 790m operates near the summit, and at the foot of the mountain, there are an archery field, a riding center, and a swimming pool, as well as a monument to poet Lee Ho-woo and the Nakdonggang Victory Memorial Hall built in 1979. Daedeok Park in Keun-gol has excellent landscaping facilities, making it popular for family outings and dating courses for young couples.
Daegu Apsan Park has various walking trails befitting its name as a leisure space for Daegu citizens. Basically, there are walking trails starting from Daegu Apsan Park and connecting to Apsan, trails from Daegu Apsan Park to Seongsan Mountain, and trails connected to Daedeoksan Mountain. These various walking trails range from 2km to 4km each, so the biggest advantage is that you can choose a trail according to your preference and physical strength. If you take the cable car and go up to the Apsan Observatory, you can see the scenery of Daegu unfolding before your eyes.
