Daebang Village

Daebang Village is a fishing village located next to Samcheonpo Bridge, situated at the foot of Gaksan Mountain. Now, a large-scale tourist complex developed by Sacheon City has been established here, making it a village visited by many tourists. The village boasts numerous tourist resources such as Daebangjin Gulhang, Samcheonpo Bridge Park, Samcheonpo Daebang Gunyeong Forest Park, and Sacheon Sea Cable Car. Daebangjin Gulhang, a Gyeongsangnam-do cultural heritage material, was the site of Gura-ryang's camp, established during the Goryeo Dynasty to defend against frequent raids by Japanese pirates along the Korean coast, where a naval commander (Manho) was stationed. After the camp was abandoned, it remained as a small port, and was rebuilt in the late Joseon Dynasty. With the loss of national sovereignty in 1910, the camp's documents were burned, and now it has been restored and is used as a dock. Samcheonpo Bridge, starting from Daebang Village, connects Samcheonpo Port and Changseon-myeon in Namhae, and the Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge has become a tourist attraction in Sacheon City. The surrounding area is rich in tourist sites such as Sacheon Sea Cable Car, Aramaru Aquarium, and Gaksanseong Fortress.
