Why travelers stop here
Daebeomnyunsa Temple is located on the low-lying Hamnyeongsan Mountain, 165 meters above sea level. It is a temple with the largest Amitabha Buddha statue in Gimhae, and its 20-meter-tall giant Buddha statue can be easily seen near the West Gimhae IC. Additionally, this temple holds two Gyeongsangnam-do cultural properties. The "Bulseol Yesusiwangsaeng Chilgyeong," a scripture that explains the merits of the "Yesusiwangsaeng Chiljae" ritual—which allows one to avoid falling into hell after death by performing Buddhist rites in advance to pray for a good afterlife and thus escape the judgment of the Ten Kings of the Underworld—and the Buddhist ritual manual "Suryuk Mucha Pyeongdeung Jaeui Chwaryo" have been designated as Gyeongsangnam-do cultural properties, recognized as important materials for studying Buddhist scriptures. It is a 20-minute drive from Gimhae International Airport, has ample parking space, and a bus stop is located 30 meters away, providing good accessibility.
