Deoksanseowon Confucian Academy (Goseong)

Deoksanseowon Confucian Academy is a Confucian academy located near the Goseong IC. It was established in 1979 by Mr. Lee Hak-du on a site of 33,000㎡ to enshrine the ancestral tablets of his forebears. The academy features a main building with 4 front bays and 1 side bay, as well as Deoksanjeong Pavilion (3 front bays, 2 side bays), an octagonal pavilion, and an administration office. It is a popular destination for tourists seeking beautiful scenery throughout the seasons, including cherry blossom viewing in spring. Nearby attractions include Goseong Madongho Wetland, Danghangpo Bay, and Yeojin Carnivorous Plant Garden.
