Dongbun Shik

Dongbun Shik is a Kalguksu (noodle soup) restaurant in Eonyang, Ulju-gun. It has a simple, rural snack bar atmosphere and is run by local grandmothers as a cooperative, with one grandmother in charge of noodles and another for kimbap. The kalguksu is not cooked per order but in large batches of at least 10 servings at a time. Its excellent taste was featured on KBS-TV's 'Life's Master.' Water and kimchi are self-service; the water is a refreshing and delicious barley tea, rare these days. The kimbap contains minari (water dropwort), giving it a fragrant and unique flavor. There is no dedicated parking lot, so parking is available on the street near the restaurant. Jinha Beach and Ganwolsan Mountain are nearby, making it a good spot to visit together.
