Why travelers stop here
A beach located in Dongsan-ri, Hyeonnam-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do. It is situated north of Dongsan Port over a hill, and is easily accessible as it is along National Route 7. The sandy beach, stretching 290m in length and 57m in width, is soft and clean. Even about 15m into the sea from the shore, the water depth is only knee-high, making it good for children to play. Recently, the landscape has been improved, rest facilities are clean, and the coastal barbed wire fence that seemed stuffy has been removed, allowing an open view of the sea. Jodo Island, visible directly from the beach, creates a dramatic scene at sunrise. As it is a clean water area, the sea is clear enough to see underwater. There are coastal rocks nearby, making it famous as a scuba diving spot. Shellfish are abundant and easy to catch. Camping is possible on the white sand beach, and there is a separate camping ground. A traditional fishing village is located right in front of the beach, where you can enjoy raw fish and sea fishing.
