Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Dumuri, located in Nam-myeon, Yanggu-gun, is a typical mountain village surrounded by Dumudong Pass and the upper reaches of the Soyang River. When the Soyang River Dam was built 40 years ago in 1973, water filled the area around Gwandae-ri, Nam-myeon, Inje-gun, adjacent to Dumuri, making Dumuri one of the most remote areas surrounded by mountains and rivers. As the clean nature embraces the village, all agricultural products and wild greens produced here boast the best taste and quality in the country. Dumuri mainly produces and sells red peppers, watermelons, Gomchwi (a type of wild greens), and cucumbers.
