Why travelers stop here
Ttangkkeut Port is the only coastal port in Haenam-gun. It was previously called Galdu Port, but was renamed to Ttangkkeut Port in September 2014 to match the administrative village name of Ttangkkeut-ri. There are many attractions nearby, such as Ttangkkeut Coastal Road, Ttangkkeut Tower, and Ttangkkeut Observatory, and approximately 270,000 people visit annually, including residents of neighboring Wando-gun areas such as Nohwado, Hoenggando, and Heugildo, as well as tourists visiting Haenam. In the past, the port lacked a passenger terminal, causing much inconvenience, but in April 2021, a passenger terminal was built with a single-story structure covering a total floor area of 499.6㎡, equipped with various convenience facilities such as a ticket office, waiting room, and office. With the completion of the passenger terminal, users can now use the sea route more comfortably and conveniently.
