Palbongsan Tourist Site

Hongcheon Palbongsan Tourist Site is a tourist destination in Seo-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do, where mountains and valleys harmonize. With the Hongcheon River flowing nearby, it offers the pleasure of hiking and the leisure of the riverside at the same time. Palbongsan consists of eight peaks and is one of Korea's 100 famous mountains, ranking as the first of Hongcheon's Nine Scenic Views. The hidden beauty of each of the eight peaks and the奇特 rocks and stones, combined with the clear and clean Hongcheon River that flows around the mountainside, create a picturesque landscape like a painting. With an elevation of 327.4 meters above sea level, the hiking trails run between rocky cliffs and precipices, making for an enjoyable climb. On each peak, pine trees grow like ornamental stones, evoking the image of a folding screen unfolding. In spring and autumn, hikers visit in large numbers, while summer attracts vacationers. In summer, various water leisure sports such as swimming and rafting take place along the Hongcheon River and in the valleys. Within Palbongsan Tourist Site, there is a campsite with 39 deck sites and 3 grass (lawn) sites where you can pitch a tent and camp. There is also an outdoor performance hall and a futsal field, allowing visitors to experience various events.
