Mother Coffee Chodang Branch is a café located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. It is in a good location for having dessert after eating Chodang sundubu (soft tofu stew). This café combines Gangwon-do's representative local specialties, potatoes and potato dumpling soup (gamja ongsimi), with world-renowned coffee to create items such as Gamong Coffee (potato dumpling soup coffee), Gamja Melange (potato cream coffee), Gamongsimi Bread (potato dumpling soup bread), Gamong Cheese Bread (potato dumpling soup cheese bread), and Gamppuccino (potato cream cappuccino). Gamong Coffee should be eaten within 5 minutes due to the nature of ongsimi (small rice cake balls) to enjoy its taste, and Gamja Melange has potato cream on top of coffee; to fully savor it, you should not mix the coffee and potato cream but drink it until the end. The interior is clean and modern, and there is a terrace where you can enjoy the greenery. Although not spacious, there is a dedicated parking lot available.
