Why travelers stop here
If you go around a bend along the rear road of the terminal, there is a pretty hanjeongsik (Korean table d'hôte) restaurant. Although the term hanjeongsik might make you think of a traditional tile-roofed house, this place is unexpectedly a modern cement building. Tables are placed next to large windows, and inside, there are several small rooms divided so that multiple people can dine individually. The fusion hanjeongsik served consists of about fifteen items, including a sweet and sour vegetable salad, traditional Korean buggumi (pan-fried rice cake), tender angchangsal (beef flank), jellyfish cold dish, braised short ribs, shrimp tempura, and a pot of rice cooked in a cauldron, so even eating a little fills you up quickly. The dishes served are generally neat and tidy.
