Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
A beach located in Junggwangjeong-ri, Hyeonbuk-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do. Although it is a beach adjacent to Hajodae, it was a beach where civilian access was prohibited for 60 years as a military protection zone. It was a small and quiet beach between Hajodae and Dongho Beach, but it changed with the creation of Surfy Beach, Korea's first surfing-only beach. Visits by surfing enthusiasts and tourists are increasing every year. It is characterized by exceptionally clear and clean water due to the long absence of human access. Nearby attractions include Susan Port, Hajodae, and the Hajodae Observatory.
