Yeongwol Bukssang-ri Old House

This is the old house of Ugujeong located on Deulgol-an-gil, Nam-myeon. It is known as a typical old folk house in the Yeongseo region, with a square-shaped layout consisting of an inner house (anchae), a guest house (sarangchae), and a shed. With a simple structure of the inner house, a side room, and a sarang room, it is registered as a cultural heritage material of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. Due to the lack of accurate information, it is impossible to determine when and by whom it was built. It is only estimated to have been built between 100 and 300 years ago. The name 'Ugujeong' for this house comes from the fact that the person who guarded this house was Mr. Ugujeong, and thus the old house was named Ugujeong House, a traditional rural home.
