Samcheok Gomureung Hwaseon Village is a village at the gateway to Hwaseongul Cave, a historical tour course, and is a restored environmentally friendly traditional mountain village in Gangwon amidst beautiful natural surroundings. From 2002 to 2005, as a city-supported project, the Beautiful Village Development Project (creating a herb village including Hwaseon Rest Area and wooden shingle lodging village) was promoted to expand convenience facilities for tourists visiting the village, providing rural experience and leisure spaces as a family-oriented resort.
