Why travelers stop here
This festival embodies the 80-year history of the Republic of Korea since its liberation in 1945 through '80 lights,' expressing the spirit of sacrifice of the forefathers and the development of modern Korea. Through large-scale media art using buildings around Gwanghwamun in Seoul as canvases, as well as citizen-participatory interactive installation art, stories from different eras come together to complete a unified grand narrative of the Republic of Korea.
