Why travelers stop here
Located in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, Miyangseowon Confucian Academy honors Seogang Kim Gye-geum, a scholar from the early Joseon Dynasty. The academy houses the woodblocks for the Collected Works of Seogang Kim Gye-geum (Gyeongsangnam-do Tangible Cultural Property). These woodblocks were created in 1915 by Kim Gyu-dong, a descendant of the scholar, to publish Kim Gye-geum's literary collection. The collection includes three poems written by the scholar, all of which express his loyalty to the young King Danjong.
