Balwangsan Skywalk

Balwangsan Skywalk can be reached by taking the cable car located within Yongpyong Resort. Balwangsan Mountain, at an elevation of 1,458 meters, is the 12th highest in Korea, but the cable car installed within Yongpyong Resort makes it easy to climb. From the Dragon Plaza boarding station, take the cable car and enjoy the scenery of Balwangsan Mountain for about 20 minutes to reach the summit. The view from the top is already breathtaking, but if you want to feel the energy of Balwangsan Mountain with your whole body, we recommend going up to the Skywalk.

Located at the highest point in Korea, this Skywalk can withstand the weight of 100 adults per square meter and is said to be safe enough to withstand an earthquake of magnitude 6.5. The 360-degree turntable walkway of the Skywalk makes you feel as if you are floating above the clouds, and on clear days you can see as far as Gangneung Gyeongpodae Beach and the Daegwallyeong Wind Farm. There are photo zones throughout where you can capture memories, making it a great place to take photos of the stunning scenery. For safety, entry is restricted during strong winds or when it snows or rains, and high heels, ski boots, and snowboard equipment are also not permitted.
