인천광역시 옹진군 북도면 모도로140번길 41

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

A sculpture park located on Baemikkumi Beach on Modo Island, which belongs to Bukdo-myeon, Ongjin-gun, Incheon. The name Baemikkumi is said to have originated from its shape resembling the bottom hole of a ship. Sculptor Lee Il-ho built a building here and exhibited his works, turning it into a sculpture park. About 100 pieces are displayed in a wide yard overlooking the beach, and the representative work is the iron sculpture 'Willow Teacher' installed on the coastal rocks. Known as a good place for appreciating artworks and taking walks amidst the island's scenery, it was also a filming location for the late director Kim Ki-duk's movie 'Time'.
