Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Baekbeonjip, meaning 'an inn on the land of Baekje,' has been run by the second generation carrying on the family business. As its 40-year history suggests, it is a place where you can taste the homemade flavors of mothers and grandmothers from the countryside, with over 40 different dishes served on a single table. From ingredient purchasing to table setting, they insist on using local ingredients and put their heart into everything. They personally make salted seafood, doenjang (soybean paste), gochujang (red chili paste), and soy sauce as if they were farming for a year, using them as natural seasonings and side dishes. In particular, various stews and the taste of doenjang are the pride of Baekbeonjip.<br>
