Byeokchoji Arboretum

Starting from the shallow waters of Byeokchoji and a few trees in 1997, Byeokchoji Arboretum opened in 2005 centered around Byeokchoji Pond. Covering an area of 120,000㎡, it is composed of 27 Eastern and Western gardens within six different themed spaces. Additionally, there is a gallery where you can view the 'Byeokchoji Chronicle' and 'Four Seasons of Byeokchoji' photo exhibitions that showcase the history of Byeokchoji Arboretum at a glance, as well as a flower shop where you can purchase flowers or plants that caught your eye while exploring Byeokchoji.

The arboretum, with over 1,000 species of plants, changes with the seasons and has been featured in dozens of films and dramas each year, including 'Vincenzo', 'Hotel del Luna', 'Descendants of the Sun', 'My Love from the Star', and the movie 'The Handmaiden', making it a unique experience to find the landscapes from these works. As the arboretum is vast, it is recommended to refer to the leaflet provided by the arboretum when touring.
