Operated as an art space since 2007, 'Tongui-dong Boan Inn' was originally a resting place for countless travelers for about 60 years from 1942 to 2005. Reviving the unique function of the place that had been paused and continuing the cultural heritage of Boan Inn, one of the major hubs of modern Korean literature, 'Boa Stay' opened anew in 2017 for creators who produce and enjoy culture. Located on the 3rd and 4th floors of Boan 1942, a complex cultural art space that includes a café (33 Market), project space (Boa Club), bookstore (Boa Bookstore), and exhibition space (Boa 1942), Boanstay was created to realize the most ideal form of temporary residence for culture nomads. Situated in Seochon, a transportation hub and the center of culture and history in Seoul, Boanstay offers charming views of distinctive surrounding landscapes such as Bukaksan Mountain, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Cheongwadae, and Seochon's hanok houses, contrasting with the city skyline.
