Bongam Reservoir

Designated as a Registered Cultural Heritage in July 2005, Bongam Reservoir is a reservoir built to provide drinking water to Japanese residents and collaborators living in Masan during the Japanese colonial period. Although the reservoir's function has been closed due to water supply projects, it has become a healing spot visited by many people, with eco-friendly trails, rest facilities, walking paths, and deck roads creating a waterfront space. The circumference of Bongam Reservoir is about 1.5 km, with even and shaded paths, making it ideal for quietly enjoying the scenery and taking a leisurely walk without burden. It also features various facilities such as a children's playground and a forest library.
