Why travelers stop here
Yangjae Flower Market is the largest flower market in Korea. Established in 1991, it began with cut flower auctions and later expanded to include orchids and foliage plants. The market features a fresh flower auction hall where hundreds of millions of won change hands daily, along with hundreds of shops concentrated in buildings Ga-dong and Na-dong, the underground shopping center, and the bonsai and garden tree sections. Although it is a large flower complex that might seem to only handle wholesale transactions, retail sections are separately designated, so small-scale transactions are also active. As a result, it is always bustling with wholesalers heading to various regions, florists, and hobbyists coming to buy flowers. This is because a wide variety of flowers can be purchased at lower prices compared to other flower markets. Visitors and photographers also frequent the market to enjoy the vibrant greenery and colorful flowers year-round.
