Why travelers stop here
Oryu Market, located in Oryu-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, is a traditional market established in 1968. It once thrived with over 250 stores. However, it began to decline in the 1990s. Now, most stores are closed, with only a few operating, including rice cake shops, dried fish shops, sesame oil shops, agricultural and marine product shops, and restaurants. The Oryu-gol Jumeokgogi (fist meat) inside the market remains famous as a representative local delicacy in Oryu-dong.
