Myeongmun Makguksu is famous for makguksu, a summer delicacy. It offers buckwheat makguksu, buckwheat perilla kalguksu, and various other buckwheat dishes. The boiled pork slices (pyeonyuk), which go well with the noodles, are also a delicacy; they are similar to suyuk and can be enjoyed with the noodles or dipped in the accompanying salted shrimp sauce. During the winter season from October to March, tofu dishes using tofu are prepared.
