Why travelers stop here
Kongyewon is located near Gwangjin Information Library on Achasan-ro, Gwangjin-gu. The restaurant is inside an officetel building, and there is no separate parking lot. Although it is a restaurant with a good view of the Han River, it is more famous for its cheonggukjang (fermented soybean paste) flavor. The cheonggukjang is made with domestic soybeans and clean water from Pocheon, fermented in an earthenware room for 2-3 days, and then cooked. Representative menu items include cheonggukjang, ssamjeongsik (wrap set meal), suyukjeongsik (boiled pork set meal), and tteokgalbijeongsik (grilled rice cake patty set meal). Side dishes are served with the set meal, and seven types of namul (seasoned vegetables) are provided to be mixed with barley rice like bibimbap. Additionally, potato pancakes and acorn jelly are popular. Nearby attractions include Gwangnaru Hangang Park and Achasan Ecological Park, making it a good place to visit before or after a meal.
