Obok Hamheung Naengmyeon

Obok Hamheung Naengmyeon is located right in front of the food alley at Exit 6 of Sookmyung Women's University Station on Line 4. The menu is simple: hoe naengmyeon (raw fish cold noodles), mul naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth), bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles), mandu (dumplings), and sari (extra noodles). On the table, vinegar, mustard, seasoned sauce, and cups are set. When you order naengmyeon, a kettle of broth similar to galbitang (beef rib soup) is provided, which is savory with a hint of pepper. In winter, galbitang is offered as a seasonal menu. The mandu are handmade, and the naengmyeon noodles are also made in-house, giving them a chewy texture. The hoe naengmyeon, topped with sliced raw skate, includes large-cut vegetables and has a slight moisture, making it easy to mix. Extra noodles can be added, and water is self-serve. Near the restaurant, there are the Colonial History Museum and the War Memorial of Korea, allowing for linked sightseeing.
