Why travelers stop here
Alcheon Saengtae Jjigae restaurant is located near Exit 9 of Sports Complex Station on Lines 2 and 9. Parking is available in front of the restaurant, but the space is not large. The interior is clean, not like an old restaurant, with a semi-open kitchen and ample tables. The signature menu item is saengtae jjigae (pollack stew). In the evening, menus featuring generous seafood platters, whole octopus, true whelks, and monkfish are popular for group dinners. Saengtae jjigae can be ordered from two servings, and it comes with six basic side dishes and three types of dipping sauces for seafood. The seafood platter includes abalone, sea squirts, turban shells, oysters, and shrimp, generously served. The saengtae jjigae is boiled with pollack tripe, liver, and roe, resulting in a spicy yet clean broth. Rice must be ordered separately.
