Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
A specialized dongtae jjim (steamed pollack) restaurant located in Yeonhui-dong near Yonsei University. It is popular for its clean spicy flavor rather than artificial and刺激性 spicy taste. Although it is dongtae-tang (pollack stew), the broth is refreshing as it contains pollack tripe, roe, blue crab, clams, tofu, and small shrimp. In addition to the signature menu dongtae jjim, it also serves agwi jjim (anglerfish stew), daegu ppol jjim (cod cheek stew), and modum haemul jjim (assorted seafood stew). The spiciness can be adjusted in three levels to suit individual tastes. The portions are quite generous, and the fried rice and side menus are well composed. Yeonhui Grand Park is nearby, making it a good place for a walk after a meal. Address: 17-14 Yeonhui-mat-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Yeonhui-dong)
