Subong Park

Subong Park is a representative park in Incheon, created on the slopes of Mt. Subong. It features various facilities including a children's playground, a nature learning center, an archery field, badminton courts, tennis courts, and a basketball court. Throughout the park, there are monuments embodying the spirit of patriotism, such as the Memorial Tower for the Patriotic Martyrs, the Memorial Monument for the Korean Student Volunteer Forces in Japan, and the Incheon Battle Memorial Monument, as well as a Mangbaedan (a ritual altar for displaced people). Visitors can enjoy various performances at any time, and there is a traditional folk play ground where folk performances are held. At the Eunyul Talchum Training Center within the park, intangible cultural heritage performances are held year-round. The artificial waterfall in Subong Park is the largest in Korea, with a height of 37m and a width of 122m. In front of the waterfall, which consists of two tiers (upper and lower), various performances take place. Between the waterfalls, there is a corridor where two to three people can walk, offering a great view of the waterfall and the park. Subong Park is especially beautiful at night. It boasts such a stunning night view that it was named one of the top 10 nightscape attractions in Incheon in 2018.
