Why travelers stop here
Seoul Battleship Park is a ship-themed theme park created using three retired warships: the Seoul Battleship, which served maritime defense missions for 30 years before being decommissioned, the Chamsuri-class patrol boat, and a submarine. The three warships, preserved in their original state, offer unique exhibition and experience spaces not usually accessible, providing citizens visiting Seoul Hangang Park with new sights and activities for a special experience. Seoul Battleship Park consists of an information center, the Seoul Battleship, the Chamsuri-class patrol boat, the submarine, a media wall, and a multipurpose plaza. The Chamsuri-class patrol boat is a high-speed vessel responsible for coastal patrol and security along the Republic of Korea's coastline, allowing visitors to experience internal workspaces such as the deck, communication room, and steering room. It also features a large screen that vividly presents stories from the Joseon Navy to the present-day Republic of Korea Navy, as well as old ships and modern warships. The Seoul Battleship, floating on the Han River, is a Korean frigate that preserves the living spaces on the first floor and workspaces on the second to fourth floors, offering an immersive experience. In the evening, busking performances are held on the bow and stern decks, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Han River along with the performances. Nearby, Mangwon Hangang Park and Mangwon Market are located, making it a great spot for outings with family, friends, or partners.
