This is the house where former President Park Chung-hee lived with his family from 1958 until 1961, when he moved to the official residence of the Chairman of the Supreme Council for National Reconstruction in Jangchung-dong. (Area: 128.93㎡) Built in the late 1930s by the Joseon City Management Corporation as part of the Sindang-dong cultural housing development, this house is the only remaining one of its kind and is recognized as an important resource in Korean housing history, designated as National Registered Cultural Heritage No. 412. It was restored based on photographs and media records from the time the family lived there and has been open to the public since 2015.
