Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Ganghwa Nadeulgil refers to a trail that connects the earthen fortifications (dondae) located every 1.3km along the coast, the paths between Ganghwasanseong Fortress, and the routes circling the Goryeo royal tombs. It is a path where you can enjoy nature and cultural heritage such as mountains, fields, and the sea while walking. The Path to See the Sunset starts from Hwado Terminal, passes through the 100-year-old Naeri Cathedral, goes around the village, and follows the Sangbongsang walking trail and tidal flats. This course offers beautiful tidal flat coastlines where mountains and sea scenery harmonize. At the Tidal Flat Center, you can observe the vast tidal flats during low tide and, in winter, spot migratory birds such as black-faced spoonbills.
