Why travelers stop here
Singi Market, a cultural tourism market visited by many domestic and foreign tourists, attracts people every day with its charming market alleys and abundant things to see and eat. As its name suggests, Singi Market has many unique features. One of them is the Singi Tongbo, which can only be used here. Resembling an old Korean coin, the Singi Tongbo is a currency system unique to Singi Market, used in place of real money. One Singi Tongbo is exchanged for a value of 500 won and is useful for snacks or in the food alley. Modeled after Korea's traditional currency, the Singi Tongbo is considered novel and fun by foreign tourists. The origin of Singi Market is also interesting. In the 1970s, women began selling vegetables grown in their gardens at the foot of Munhaksan Mountain, and as people gathered, a natural alley market was formed.
