Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Yongmasan, at an elevation of 348 meters, is the highest peak of Achasan and is located in Donghyeon, Myeonmok-dong. It is an optimal place to enjoy nature close to the city center. The hiking trail follows the mountain ridge between Manguri Park and Junggok-dong, extending from Manguri through Achasanseong Fortress to near the back gate of Seoul Children's Grand Park. The view of Seoul from the summit is spectacular, and on clear days, you can see the Han River and Bukhansan. Yongmasan is also a treasure trove of ecosystems where various plants and animals inhabit. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom in full, and in autumn, the fall foliage is beautiful, making it a popular destination throughout all four seasons. As such, Yongmasan is a space where nature and the city harmonize, loved by many.
