Cafe Daruji

This cafe was opened after renovating a hanok (traditional Korean house) built by the current owner's great-grandfather. A garden has been created around the cafe, allowing guests to enjoy a leisurely and atmospheric tea time outdoors. The stone wall, hand-built by the owner's father, surrounds the garden, exuding elegance. In front of the cafe, a zelkova tree planted by the owner on Arbor Day with their parents after birth has grown, now providing shade and a cool resting place for many visitors. Sitting under the shade, the wide rice fields of Ganghwado Island visible are plains created during reclamation projects in the late Joseon Dynasty, offering a perfect spot for contemplation, imagining that this place was once the sea and a ferry port.
