It was operated by the late Chef Lim Ji-ho (passed away in June 2021), a natural cuisine researcher who sourced ingredients directly from nature in Korea and was famously known as the 'Wandering Gourmet.' The restaurant name Sandang (山堂) is Chef Lim Ji-ho's pen name. Signature menus include the Sandang set course and eel set meal, and the tteokgalbi set meal is also a favorite among people of all ages.
