Samnyeongsa Temple is a temple affiliated with the Korean Buddhist Cheontae Order, located on the slopes of Yongmasan Mountain in Jungnang-gu, Seoul. Approximately 3,000 Buddhists engage in religious activities here. It preserves the beauty of a traditional temple even within the city center. The temple consists of one basement floor and four above-ground floors (total floor area of 4,297㎡). The 4th floor houses the Daebulbojeon (Great Buddha Hall), the 3rd floor is the Beophwasammaedang (Dharma Flower Samadhi Hall), the 2nd floor contains a small Dharma hall and rest areas for religious groups, and the 1st floor has the administrative office, dining hall, and kitchen. Major religious groups include the Samhwa Choir, Youth Association, Jinyeo Tea Ceremony Group, Jeongto Society, Udambara Flower Arrangement Group, and Yeonhwa Bongsa Society. It is a temple where various Buddhist events and cultural activities harmoniously blend, and it has strong connections with the local community.
