Marronnier Park

Marronnier Park is a cultural and artistic hub for Seoul citizens, located on the former site of Seoul National University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and College of Law. The park is home to a marronnier tree, planted on April 5, 1929, during the era of Keijō Imperial University, the predecessor of Seoul National University, and the park was named after this tree. There is a children's playground, an outdoor stage, a fountain park, and sculptures on display. The outdoor stage is used for concerts by singers and various cultural events. Surrounding the park are small theaters such as the Main Theater of the Seoul Arts Center, Batangol Small Theater, and Dongsung Art Center. There are many famous restaurants and cafes with various concepts nearby. The park hosts numerous free performances and events throughout the year, so there is always plenty to participate in and enjoy whenever you visit.
