Dandae-dong Dakjukchon

Dandae-dong Dakjukchon is an area in Dandae-dong, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, where restaurants primarily selling chicken porridge (dakjuk) are concentrated. Originally, this dakjuk village was located at the entrance of Namhansanseong Amusement Park in Seongnam, but as the nearby Gwangju Large Complex was developed, people who relocated began operating chicken farms and started selling chicken porridge. Due to the Namhansanseong maintenance project, the dakjuk village at the amusement park entrance was demolished, and Seongnam-si relocated some restaurants to the current Dandae-dong to continue operations. Unlike boiled chicken (baeksuk) from other regions, the chicken porridge here is made with generous amounts of glutinous rice, ginseng, jujubes, chestnuts, and other ingredients, making it popular for health recovery.
