Yukjijangsa (Yangju)

In Dorisan, Gisan-ri, Baekseok-eup, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, the groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 13, 1997, and on October 12, 2003, the enshrinement ceremony of the main Buddha Sakyamuni and Yukjijang Bodhisattva was conducted in Daeungbojeon. Originally, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (in the six realms: heaven, hell, hungry ghosts, animals, asuras, and humans) manifests in hundreds of thousands of forms to save sentient beings, but the representative manifestations are the six Jijangs: 'Ilgwangjijang (heaven realm), Jegyejijang (human realm), Jijijijang (asura realm), Boinjijang (animal realm), Bosujijang (hungry ghost realm), Dantajijang (hell realm).' Therefore, it is named Yukjijang, and as a temple enshrining 60,000 Yukjijang statues, it is called Yukjijangsa.

From the perspective of our traditional feng shui geography, Doricheongung (Yukjijangsa) is considered a very good auspicious site and a propitious location. The main hall faces due south; on the left, the Blue Dragon ridge extending vigorously from the main peak of Sunrise Peak is solid, producing great talents while containing energy for prayer fulfillment and the foundation for success in entering the dragon gate. On the right, the two full breasts of a mother stand as peaks, embraced by the White Tiger hill, a symbol of abundance and virtue. Additionally, two reservoirs (Gisan Reservoir and the reservoir in front of the Audit Training Institute) in the shape of hidden twin wells, about 2 km to the left and right, enhance its richness.
