Located near Baegun Lake, Uiwang Ghost Road is a road where you can experience an amazing optical illusion, also known as Cheonggyesan Ghost Road. Uiwang Ghost Road is on a 100-meter section starting from the fork at Haugoegae on the road from Anyang to Pangyo (Local Road 57) heading toward Seongnam.
If you put your car in neutral and take your foot off the brake, you can experience the strange phenomenon of the car automatically rolling backward up the hill. The road is actually uphill, but it appears downhill to our eyes. This phenomenon was discovered by chance during the construction of the Anyang-Pangyo road, and the optical illusion is particularly strong here compared to other places, attracting many visitors.
