Why travelers stop here
Saebit Park was originally the site of a sewage treatment plant. The sewage treatment plant was placed underground, and Gwangmyeong City and Anyang City collaborated to create an 180,000㎡ eco-friendly green space on top, transforming it into an urban park. Saebit Park, managed by Gwangmyeong City, and Saemul Park, managed by Anyang City, are adjacent to each other. Saebit Park features a Flower Garden, Saebit Plaza, Cherry Blossom Path, Chinese Fringe Tree Path, Garden of Contemplation, and Metasequoia Path.
The Jagyeong Reservoir within Saebit Park was built to prevent heavy rain damage, serving a disaster prevention function during emergencies and a resting function for citizens during normal times. For citizens' relaxation, various flowers and trees such as azaleas, cosmos, cherry blossoms, and silver grass have been planted, and a waterfront park has been created using a deck road over the water and groundwater. Additionally, benches and shade structures have been installed to provide resting areas, and various attractions such as fountains and lighting are also available.
